About

Kira is a Lancashire-based researcher, facilitator, and scenographer working on the creative arts involvement in sustainable urban regeneration. Having originally joined the Ecostage team in 2023 to assist with some content, Kira is now a core member working alongside the other directors to continue progressing Ecostage into the future. Following the completion of an MA (by research) in Early Modern Mexican Theatres, she is now working on a practice-as-research PhD at Lancaster University using scenographic exploration as a method for sustainable futures, particularly in Blackpool. Kira also facilitates Carbon Literacy Training on behalf of SBTD and is co-lead for Sustainability at their upcoming national exhibition in Coventry.

Project Goals for the next 6-12 Months

Working towards creating THRU, an arts organisation using theatre and scenography methods to imaging Thrutopian futures. This expands on my phd research creating an ongoing project of making and remaking possible imperfect futures through art, theatre and scenography.

Open to collaboration
